pfSense 2.8.1 offers an upgrade to pfSense+

One of the machines is running software version 2.8.1. This morning, a notification appeared about an update to a new version — but it’s for pfSense+. Is this a gift from pfSense, or has something changed in their policy?

@0x44 another user reported the same behavior yesterday: Version Information ??, reason as of yet unknown.

The issue was caused by a staggered rollout update on the backend. We've pushed a fix and will continue to monitor. Thanks for the report!
