      Hi all !
As first post i have to say Great forum and great job you guys doing ! Keep Going !!  ;)

Im guetting started with pfsense, for now im testing the 1.2.3 release i got it working like a charm with "DHCP" and "Static Ip" confing but i cant get it working as PPPOE I put the mac adress of the modem/router that i got from my ISP but still nothing.(of course i put the modem in bridging mode).
I think the problm comes from my ISP there is no way to make any other modem/router working expect the one they provided, to make some tests i took an other modem/router that i chaged its mac adress to the same one of the modem/router provided by my ISP but still nothing. What makes this modem/router so special ??!! is there any workaround ?
NB: the ISP modem/router has a standard non branded firmware!
      Thx for the Help  :)

          verify username and password.
call isp for help if still failed, tell them you want to put you modem into transparent bridging mode.

          whos your isp?

Hi, Thx for the answer !
-Im sure that the username and passwor are correct !
-I tried a sagem 2404, and a speedtouch 585 V6 and they are very simple to set into bridging mode
-My Isp is one %$!!%* Isp in Africa !

Have you tried NOT spoofing the mac? This is usually not required.

what is strange is that im having the same pfsense log with or without spoofing the mac (I always have the NIC mac adress)
maybe the spoofing is not working after all  ??? ???
plus in the 2.0 ALPHA the WAN mac adress is no longer shown in "Satus"-> "Interfaces" as previous versions.. can u put back guys ? ;)
