Is it possible to install pfsense 2.8.0 CE without configuring a wan and only a lan connection?
I keep getting a message "Cannot Reach The Netgate Servers, Please verify your network settings"

@Hoser7632 The installer needs to download the software. Any Internet connection will do. You could find a 2.7.2 ISO and install that…

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, CPU, and/or disk speed.

@Hoser7632 there is no ISO for CE, only the Netgate Installer.

2.7.2 is the last version with a full installation ISO. All versions after that are net installers.

Are you saying I need a WAN connection and there is no way around that requirement?

@Hoser7632 Yes. There are plenty of discussions around this subject. The answer remains you must have internet access to install anything past 2.7.2.

It turnes out that netgate server was down yesterday and my WAN could not connect. Tried it this morning and worked like a charm.
