Exit Filter Logs at Console

Not sure if I'm just retarded ???… but how do you exit the filter logs at console.
If I view them I can't for the life of me figure out how to get back to the console without restarting the machine.

press control + c

this works with putty… but doesn't work with the local console.
I suppose I can try another keyboard and get back to you... I'll try when I go back up to the server room.
