So I finally got around to moving dns and dhcp to the pfsense gateway.  I have a couple of hosts that I set up for static DHCP mappings, and that all works fine.  The only oddity is that on the Status => DHCP leases page, the hosts show up as "offline", which is a little offputting, since they are in fact online.  Is this just the way it works?

The online/offline status is keyed off of the system's presence in the ARP table. Do those same systems show up in Diagnostics > ARP Tables?

My statics show up as online, as long as they have recently communicated with the gateway.

Ah, okay,  yes, that is exactly what is happening.  Thanks!
