      hi there

first of all happy new year  ;D
now, I'd need some help from you…
just migrated after 3 years from IPcop to pFsense which I find is great and plenty of options...
need some help with traffic shaping and basic setup (as far as i think)...
the network has around 10 computers and they all got internet through pfsense wan output.. it's ADSL line with around 2.3Mbit download and around 160Kbit upload... (in fact it should be much higher but due to my location this is pure speed i can get out of ADSL line)
most traffic on network is voip, p2p (torrent), http and online-gaming (W:ET)...
i did a setup wizard but I am not satisfied with its functionality...
is it possible to prioritize the traffic like: 1.voip 2. http 3. gaming 4.p2p and how could i achieve when theres no other traffic on network than p2p, to get p2p full possible bandwith (2.3mbit)? so basically, when there's voip or http traffic, p2p lowers its usage of bandwith and when there's no voip or http, p2p gets full possible bandwith.
Its a rough explanation so i hope some of you understand what i meant...  ;)

now the shaper is configured in % of bandwith but a lot of times there is no other traffic than p2p which is set to use only 15% or similar, and when i start using other traffic the network goes timed out  :(

so please if anyone has any idea or suggestion how to do it please tell me... been looking in FAQ and Tutorials but except the basic wizards didn't find any useful thing...

pFsense box is made out of Celeron 350mhz, 384mb ram and 4gb hdd, has a wan (ppoe, adsl) and a lan interface.. running ver. 1.2.3.

      thanks

      Cheers
