Does anyone know if it's possible to pkg_add on nanobsd
I tried it but got read-only filesystem

I want to try installing snort (probably to heavy for the board but want to see what happens) problems is it takes longer to extract perl than my browser is willing to wait.

Like everything else on nanobsd, you have to first make the filesystem read/write:

        /etc/rc.conf_mount_rw

        pkg_add -r <blah># /etc/rc.conf_mount_ro</blah>

But packages are installed in / rather than /conf, is that correct?  So rc.conf_mount_r? remounts root too?

          Thanks.

That command remounts all partitions, not just conf.
