Is there any chance of moving at least some of the 293KB of in-line JavaScript into static .js files?

It seems a little pointless to have to re-download (that's what's effectively happening) these scripts on every pageload ???

Especially the big scripts like Scriptaculous/Prototype and DomTT, which don't often change.
