I don't know if this is normal or not but it takes forever for my squid cache folder to fill up. We actively browse the web on 5 different computers however it does not seem to be doing that much caching. I know the proxy server is working… but it just does not seem to be caching that much. It might be that it is not caching the photos?

    Thanks a lot,
    ~Shawn

yeah. default squid configuration can only cache 10%-20%
playing around with refresh pattern you could get around 30%-40%
but with storeurl feature 40%-70% (it only matters on how greedy you want to save bandwidth)

stats based on daily basis of internet cafe.

Well, since I'm already using the videocache plugin (and thats working wonderfully), I'm thinking storeurl would not do anything for me. I do have the max download size set at about 50MB. I'm thinking I need to do some research on refresh_pattern. I'm kind of wondering… isn't that something that you have to change in the squid.conf file? And if you do, isn't that going to be overridden by the gui's configs when squid restarts?
