This morning I walked in to my pfSense Firewall making a continuous beeping noise.  I rebooted the firewall and the noise went away, but I am curious as to why this noise was occurring in the first place.  While the noise was occurring I had Limited to No Connectivity on my network.  Prior to this event someone at the office "accidentally" powered down the firewall manually and not through its reboot or power off options.  Following that the firewall reset itself 3 times the following day and then the continuous beeping noise occurred the following morning.  I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them or if someone might know what the cause of this event was.

    Cheers,
    Chase

That sounds like a hardware issue of some kind.

I'd check the PSU, run a RAM test, etc.

Sometimes problems like that will present themselves after a reboot if a system has been running for a long period of time.
