Ralink 2501 turbo chip unsupported?
-
 hi,
since the irc channel seems to be asleep, ill try it here.
im using the newest (rc2) embedded pfsense image on my wrap with an gigabyte gn-wi01gs mini pci wireless card (ralink 2501 turbo chip).
my problem is that the card isnt available in the interface dialog and therefor useless.
i bought the card because its supported by the bsds, so where is the problem?€: dmesg says: pcib0: <host to="" pci="" bridge="">pcibus 0 on motherboard
 pci0: <pci bus="">on pcib0
 pci0: <network>at device 13.0 (no driver attached)</network></pci></host>
-
only ralink 2500 chipset is suported on freebsd 6.1
-
theres a driver on the cd, is it possible to use that one?
-
pfsense uses all the drivers that freebsd 6.1 nows
if youre card is supported the ral driver will be used for youre card
-
well my card is listed here:
 http://damien.bergamini.free.fr/ral/
http://ralink.rapla.net/so freebsd (ural) should support it. but pfsense (embedded) doesnt…
-
Did you notice the "discontinued" as backround at http://damien.bergamini.free.fr/ral/ ? Also this is not the official freebsd driver that is included in pfSense.
-
yea, but i thought thats because the drivers integrated in freebsd.
-
o and ural is the usb ralink driver
-
ok so theres no chance to get in running? :(
