After installing pfSense-1.0-RC3-LiveCD-Installer.iso do I need to upgrade with pfSense-1.0-rc3a-Full-Embedded.tgz? and do I still need to install the 2 patches located in http://www.pfsense.com/~sullrich/patches/ ? Thanks for any advice.

It will be allso nice if there will come some intern update system, like the packages page, but then for the updates, patches and upgrades.

Yes, apply the rc3a update just in the same way at the webgui firmwareupgrade.

A built in autoupdatesystem will be available at some point but not for version 1.0. It's something we still have to put some work in after 1.0 was released.

You don't need the patches from the sullrich folder.

Everything you need is at the official mirrors right now. You don't need anything from the sullrich folders.

You are clicking on the wrong link. You need http://pfsense.com/mirror.php?section=updates

You can apply this to embeddeds as well as full installs and you should do so.
