    Hello everyone,

I have a simple cosmetic question that is driving me nuts. Our pFsense installation is working great and we are starting to have a few servers behind it. Unfortunately, this leads us to having quite a bit of rules configured and going thrue them is a really tedious task.

Right now we have to rely on the description of the rule and use the search function in our browsers which is quite a drag if the rules aren't close to each other.

Is there a way to get some kind of search function integrated to the web interface which would allow to filter the rules ? That would really be great.

Also, on a side note, is there any way to handle the rules generation thrue a GUI instead of having to use the web interface ? I saw a couple of programs out there but they all appear to be fore cisco / iptables.

Thank you guys and keep up the good work !

    Alex

Well the webgui IS the gui.
How many rules are you talking about?

If you use aliases appropriatly you can reduce the amount of rules drastically.
IMO if you loose overview over your rules a rewrite is called for (with correct documentation).

We do what we must, because we can.
