      My laptop just broke - needs a new motherboard that costs about the same as I gave for the whole laptop….

      Was wondering if I could build a router from the CPU - it's an Intel T7500 SLAF8. Tried to buy a Aopen I945GTM with a socket 479, but it doesnt fit into the board...searched some more and the CPU has socket PPGA478.

      Tried to search for a desktop motherboard with this socket but I couldnt find any. Anyone knows if that exists ?

        The SLAF8 is a Socket P chip according to Wikipedia.

        That search turned up quite a few boards that it should work with.  None are particularly cheap though.

        I can break anything.
