      Hi Folks,

      I'm using an ALIX 2D3 board.
      The CPU usage in pfsense GUI is showing 100%!!

      Doing 'top' from the shell, it shows that nearly 100% is going to 'system'

      Any ideas? I don't want this box to fry!

      P.S. Rebooting didnt fix it. All I've doine to the box recently is delete my squid cache folder manually from the shell

        I got this sorted.

        I had enabled device polling

        TIP: DONT enable device polling on these boards…

        :D

          Polling doesn't buy you much on an ALIX anyhow :)

          That is how polling works, though, it uses all available "idle" CPU time to poll instead of waiting for interrupts.
