      Hi,
each hour after I restart pfsense, the PPPoE disconnects! I see this in the logs:-

Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] LCP: rec'd Terminate Request #38 link 0 (Opened)
Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] LCP: state change Opened –> Stopping
Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] LCP: phase shift NETWORK –> TERMINATE
Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] setting interface ng0 MTU to 1500 bytes
Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] up: 0 links, total bandwidth 9600 bps
Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] IPCP: Down event
Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] IPCP: state change Opened –> Starting
Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] IPCP: LayerDown
Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] IFACE: Down event
      Mar  5 08:05:02 pfsense mpd: [pppoe] exec: /sbin/route delete 0.0.0.0 94.30.127.

      etc

      Then it re-connects.

      I am running pfsense 1.2.3 on a Soekris box with a Draytek Vigor 100 ADSL2+ pass-trough modem.

This has worked fine in the past but I can't be sure when the problem started. I did used to run m0n0wall for several years before
I switched to pfsense a few weeks ago.
Cant be sure if it is my ISP, or my setup here?

      Thanks

      D

Do you have pfSense set for dial-on-demand?

        Also, this bit:

        rec'd Terminate Request #38

Seems to imply the connection is being torn down deliberately for some reason, possibly from the ISP end.
