      Hi,
      I've just set up pfsense (and I'm stunned by the results so far BTW!) and I'm having an odd problem, can you please help me with this?

      My setup is like this :

      p
      Cable Modem–---- f
                                s----------- LAN
                                e
                                n
      ADSL Modem------ s
      with wireless          e

      All is well, I can chose either connection to use to browse through, with one excepion.
      If I connect a laptop via the wireless connection on the ADSL I can't browse using the Cable connection, I can ping it, but not use it as my default gateway.
      I can also access the pfsense webGUI from the wireless connection (Which makes sense I guess!)
      I assume as it can be pinged that it's a firewall issue, but I don't know what the rule would be to enable me to do what I want.

      my current firewall rules are like this :
      LAN

      Proto  Source  Port  Destination  Port  Gateway  Description

      • LAN net   *       *       * *         Default LAN -> any

      WAN (Cable)

      Proto  Source  Port  Destination  Port  Gateway  Description
        * RFC                *    *       *   *           Block private networks
                              Private Networks

      ADSL (the wireless router)

      Proto  Source  Port  Destination  Port  Gateway  Description
                      *  LAN net     *       *       * *         Allow ADSL connections

      What have I got wrong?

        OK, I've got browsing on all machines, by changing the Source on the ADSL connection to ADSL Net

        I think I have it all working now :)

        This can be deleted if needs be and I apologise for unneccesarily posting
