Many entries in the system log when a scheduled rule is blocking

  • Hi,

I have a scheduled rule that is configured to pass traffic on Monday-Friday 0:00-23:59.
So when Saturday and Sunday came, this rule turned into a block rule and these messages started to show frequently in the system log:

Mar 14 23:56:51 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4b956e654efef' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'
Mar 14 23:48:47 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4b956e654efef' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'
Mar 14 23:45:02 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4b956e654efef' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'
Mar 14 23:40:44 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4b956e654efef' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'
Mar 14 23:32:40 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4b956e654efef' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'
Mar 14 23:30:03 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4b956e654efef' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'
Mar 14 23:24:36 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4b956e654efef' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'
Mar 14 23:24:12 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4b956e654efef' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'

    Normal or not?

  • I also have these kinds of lines in my log, don't know when it started….last weekend I made some scheduled tasks:

Mar 30 20:33:09 php: : The command '/sbin/pfctl -y 4bad31bfd9cf7' returned exit code '1', the output was 'pfctl: DIOCKILLSCHEDULE: Permission denied'

Can I provide more info to research this further for the dev team?
