Yep! We are using it for our own domain as well as for many clients. Just reply here if you have any trouble getting it going.

I am also experiencing the issue. When I turn on the normal DNS Forwarding, the PFSense serves up the internet just fine.
When I install the package for dns-server, de-activate the DNS forwarding, then enable the DNS forwarding from the DNS-server…. it stops resolving addresses.
Anyone have a solution to that?

actually turns out my DNS Server isn't even turning on. Nothing in the error logs to suggest as to why.
I am using the embedded DNS server solution. Could that be the problem?

Go to "status -> Services". If the "svscan" service is not started, start it. "Then you will notice that the "DNS Server" service also started.
