      Hello,

I just upgraded to 1.2.3-release on an embedded system. After the upgrade the box was not connected to the Internet so the squid package could not be reinstalled.
I tried to search now this packet and I could not find it. Where is it?

I think it was removed from the list of available packages for an embedded system.

This commit is what I'm basing this on.

Could I install it manually as I really need it? Or is there another package I could use as proxy for url filtering?

If you plan on using Squid with an embedded installation you will need a either a) an SLC CF card, b) a real hard drive, or c) to set the disk cache to null.  If you don't have one of these three, you will kill a normal CF card.

Search this forum to see how to use squid with embedded.  Basically you'll have to run a full install on your 'embedded' hardware.

If you need URL filtering, you could use OpenDNS instead.
