International Character in description fields kill the system and prevent backup

Hello,

Using apr/01/2010 snapshot

Entering an international character, such as "Ñ", in any description field will kill the system, preventing it from booting again.

Using a config.xml backup file from pfsense 1.2.3 that contains an international character will prevent it from being restored in pfsense 2.0, showing a XML parser error at the line where it is the international character in the system log.
