      Hi,

I just noticed that after upgrading from an older version (not sure exactly which, but from Feb 2010), to the latest snapshot(2.0-BETA1
built on Sun Apr 4 08:35:10 EDT 2010), it appears the captive portal no longer works.

When I disable it and then enable it from Services -> Captive Portal, I get a spew of errors in the system logs such as :

php: /services_captiveportal.php: The command '/sbin/kldload ipfw' returned exit code '1', the output was 'kldload: can't load ipfw: No such file or directory'
kernel: KLD ipfw.ko: depends on libalias - not available or version mismatch
php: /services_captiveportal.php: The command 'sysctl net.inet.ip.fw.dyn_max=10000' returned exit code '1', the output was 'sysctl: unknown oid 'net.inet.ip.fw.dyn_max''
php: /services_captiveportal.php: The command '/sbin/ipfw table all flush' returned exit code '71', the output was 'ipfw: Warn: Failed to get the max tables number via sysctl. Using the compiled in defaults. The reason was: No such file or directory ipfw: setsockopt(IP_FW_TABLE_FLUSH): Protocol not available'

It seems from these errors that we may be missing the ipfw module.

Is this already documented as a bug, or would a new bug need to be opened for this?

      Thanks,
      Ade.

I have reported this and Im sure the dev's know about it.

downgrade to a 1st apr snapshot and captive portal should be working fine.
