Shaper wizard nanobsd build from 05/04
-
Hi there,
I tried to use the wizard for two LAN interfaces (LAN and WLAN) but at the end when I press finish I get redirected back to the VoIP Page. Exactly the same bug described in this report: http://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/show/302
When I click through the next buttons again and don't change anything, the wizard completes but I have no floating rules?
Any info on how this should work? I do I need to wait until this bug is fixed? The ticket is open for four months now…

Yeah I had this problem last night. Basically the wizard is only validating the actual numbers and not converting MB/s and KB/s.
So if you enter the main queue as say 2.5 Mbits, and in the VOIP guarantee bandwidth box you enter 64 Kbits, the wizard chokes saying '64 is greater than 2.5', when in fact the validator should convert 2.5 to 2536 KB/s and compare. To get around in the meantime, ensure your bandwidth values are using the same base value - ie enter 2536 KB/s instead of 2.5 MB/s in the main queue and enter 64 KB/s in the VOIP guarantee field.

Okay. Now the wizard went through. But I needed to lower the p2pcatchall %…
I had put in 90% of the bandwidth and got the reported error. If I choose 20% everything seems to get generated...Weird...
