IPSec - My Identifier in Phase 1 Proposal

Hi,

I'm setting up IPSec tunnel and came across My Identifier in Phase 1 Proposal.

I bought the PFsense book but I think it's a new option.

Can anyone please explain what this option tend to do and what value must be provided.

Usually this is just left at the default of "My IP Address"

Though in some cases if you are setting up a mobile tunnel endpoint that may be some other string that you setup on the server side first.
