I need to move my server and need to power off my machine, I setup PFSense on a live cd and I don't think the settings are saved. I am assuming if I power down the machine, I will lose my settings. Is there anyway to backup the settings or install while running the live cd so my settings aren't lost? How would I go about doing this?

        Yes everything will be lost.
You can backup and restore your config via the backup/restore menu ;)

You should be able to use the menu option on the console which moves the config to a USB drive or floppy, and then it will use that to save, and read it at boot time.
