Just got a Netgate router and went through the initial setup of Pfsense and now I can't access the webinterface at all.  I input all of the WAN setting and setup my LAN for 172.16.0.0/12.  After the router reboot, my computer that is attached to the LAN port was assigned an IP address of 172.16.0.245 and it shows that the router is at 172.16.0.0.  When I enter 172.16.0.0 in my browwer, I can't get access to pfsense, it just says page not available.  Please help a newbie out!!  Thanks.

When .0 is the starting address of a subnet, it is the null route, and thus not a usable IP.

      Make your LAN IP 172.16.0.1/12

Ok, but how do I get access to Pfsense in order to change the LAN IP? Thanks.

Use the console. There is a menu option to change the LAN IP.

DOH!!  Forgot about console access.  It worked.  Thanks.
