Cisco Lab

  • Hi guys, I am currently about to setup a Cisco lab for my CCNA/CCINE which consists of 4 x 2600 routers and 2 x 2950 switches.

I am using pfsense 1.2.3-RELEASE on a ALIX board with two NICS.  The WAN interface is attached to a cable modem and the LAN interface to a 24 port gigabit switch.  What I'd like to do is keep the lab environment separate from the rest of my network.  How would I go about achieving this without the additional 'opt' interface?  I've read up on VLAN's, but wasn't sure on the best course to implement one.

    Thanks for any help!

  • The only way to do it on a single physical interface is to use VLANs.

    Documentation is available.
