Hi guys, I am currently about to setup a Cisco lab for my CCNA/CCINE which consists of 4 x 2600 routers and 2 x 2950 switches.

I am using pfsense 1.2.3-RELEASE on a ALIX board with two NICS.  The WAN interface is attached to a cable modem and the LAN interface to a 24 port gigabit switch.  What I'd like to do is keep the lab environment separate from the rest of my network.  How would I go about achieving this without the additional 'opt' interface?  I've read up on VLAN's, but wasn't sure on the best course to implement one.

      Thanks for any help!

The only way to do it on a single physical interface is to use VLANs.

        Documentation is available.
