      i just install pfsense in my pc….... it says
      Lan 200.200.0.6
      wan 190.160.0.152(dhcp)

      if i open the webgui in my client pc what will be the config of the network ip?
      ip: 200.200.0.253
      subnet:255.255.255.0
      gateway:?
      dns:?
      do i need to change also the lan settings in IE?
      proxy server?
      ip:?
      port:?
      if i open webgui....the url is 200.200.0.6 right?
      pls...help...it makes me crazy on networking

        why did you pick a public ip for your lan?
        to access the web gui go here: http://200.200.0.6, please note that this is not a private ip
        and it is registered to a Brazilian Company, and your wan ip is registered in Chile.
        below is a link containing a the various ip addresses and there ranges that you should use for your lan.
        http://compnetworking.about.com/od/workingwithipaddresses/f/privateipaddr.htm

        long story short use one of the private ip ranges for your lan

          ok… if i change the ip to 192.168.1.1 by default
          what will be the steps to open webgui...
          i tried url..192.168.1.1 still not working
          should i change the lan settings on internet option to ip 192.168.1.1 and port?
          what will be the port and my gateway?
          help.....

            this is all you will need:
            http://192.168.1.1

            Internet should be DHCP, LAN should be 192.168.1.1
