Fix the installer

Is the installer ever going to get fixed .I have no idea who messed it up but it is hosed now .

Sometimes its a relief to let out that pent up frustration. But if you want anyone to take a serious look at the issue you probably need to specify more detail. In this case:
Which installer? (package installer, CD installer, or …?)
Base pfSense build?
What were you trying to install?
What was reported that led you to conclude the installer was messed up?

It should have been fixed. I was given a patch and tested it on my VM at the time and it worked, and it was committed.
According to this ticket, it's fixed, too:

That was one problem .But the live cd fails to boot all the way .

Then you'll have to provide a lot more information than "it doesn't boot all the way"
Preferably a boot log or some indication of exactly where it stopped, and whatever other information you can come up with.

The iso for builds newer than 5/28 are broken. Update files are fine. Looking into the problem.

Updating works fine. I'm not sure if auto-update does, but manual update in the GUI and command line update work fine.

Auto update works OK too, I just did one yesterday.
The snapshots are mostly OK now, in terms of booting, though there is a module issue in the last few snaps that will cause other breakage.
The booting issues from the CD and the installer have been fixed. If there are still problems, it's probably not related to the issues that were there at the time this thread was made.
