QoS in floating rules only or in LAN specific rules too?

Hi, sorry if this has been explained before, but I have a very hard time getting an answer to this question.

After reading through through threads explaining qos+floating rules I created floating rules for all services I want to shape specifying the appropriate queues.
All floating rules are outbound, quick, and I haven't selected any interfaces in any of those rules.

Of course I also need rules on lan interfaces to even allow packets in.
Should appropriate queues in interface specific rules be selected too, or not (leave queue as "none")?

You should generally not specify queue.
