Tinydns config weirdness

The information in the gui config of tinydns and what it's in /etc/tinydns/root/data are different. If I add a test host to the gui configuration it resolves properly but it doesn't show on in data. The same happens if I delete something from the gui config it never leaves data but still resolves. Are there more than one configuration file for tinydns?
