Specifically, Nginx.  Trying to set up a L7 route/reverse proxy is proving to be quite a headache.  Having said that, I have two questions.

      1. How would you be able to install software on PFsense (unless you upload a tarball or something) from the shell?

      2. In case I have another box, how would I set nginx as the reverse proxy used by PFsense?

I really hope PFsense implements L7 capabilities (specifically reverse proxy) natively, because then it would be absolutely awesome[er].

      TIA

You can install FreeBSD packages with pkg_add
        Example: pkg_add -r ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-7.2-release/All/perl-5.8.9_2.tbz

Not sure on the setup with nginx, but I always search howtoforge before anything (http://www.howtoforge.com/sitemap/web-server/nginx)

Nice.  Browsing through the list at the moment. Thanks.

Another question if you please, how would I pipe all requests on the wan to the reverse proxy? Would you know?
