    Atheros (AR5416) wireless issues

      I have one of these (AR5416) in my pfsense box. In 802.11b mode, all is well, but well, b is boring.

      In ng mode, nothing can see the card at all.

      In g mode, I see and can join the network, but it ping-pongs. With CTS protection enabled, I can eventually connect, after some of this ping-ponging, but I'm betting what happens is an 802.11b device elsewhere in the house joins and then I bet happy. I mean to verify this tomorrow.

      More an FYI than anything else.
