How do I activate RIP and advertise the default route provided by pfSense?  There's not much in the GUI aside from turning it on and off.  I have RIP turned on but I do not see pfSense listed as a peer in the rest of my routers.

Any help would be massively appreciated.

It started working after rebooting pfSense.

Next question: is it advertising the default route automatically (0.0.0.0/0)?  I have another router providing the default route currently but I want to replace it with pfSense so I really can't do much in the way of non-intrusive testing.

If I shut down the other router, will pfSense take over the 0.0.0.0/0 chores?

So if anyone was wondering, pfsense will not advertise the default route (originate) via RIP.  It doesn't work.  Not even with this hack:

          http://www.mail-archive.com/support@pfsense.com/msg11392.html

I added the "-g" and confirmed that it won't advertise to RIP.

          Can anyone help me?
