      Hi

Has anybody had a go at getting a Myri M3F-PCIXD-2 LC Fibre Channel card working with pfSense?

      http://www.myri.com/myrinet/PCIX/m3f-pcixd.html

I need to buy a cheap FC converter or NIC ASAP and this seems to be a very cheap solution.

      Thanks
      Gordon

I don't know, but you can expand your searching by looking at what people have to say about it working in FreeBSD 7.2 and FreeBSD 8.

pfSense 1.2.3 is FreeBSD 7.2, and pfSense 2.0 is FreeBSD 8.

          Thanks.
I found the FreeBSD HCL and it doesn't really mention any current (budget) FC cards.

It's important to note that you are looking for a NIC with SFP-support, not a fibre-channel card (these are for storage area networking only).

            Running pfSense on :
DL380G4 with ESX Vsphere and DL360G4p bare metal
