Can someone walk me through installing a freebsd package on pfSense?  I have very little to no experience with linux or freebsd.  I'm using pfSense 1.2.3

…?  Okay.  I was pretty sure you could add freebsd packages.

You can, will have to maintain them manually. Read up on pkg_add in FreeBSD, or check out the packages portion of the book. http://pfsense.org/book

And keep in mind that just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Installing a service like that could compromise the security of your router, but that's ultimately your decision to make.

I have decided to install that on a different machine since it will be for internal use only.
