[SOLVED]Squid ad Squidguard status running but not filtering

  • I was able to setup beta4 built on July 31 and installed squid and squidguard and configured it successfully. I was able to setup filtering under squidguard and it work fine. I think I was able to use it in two days straight without any problem, but after that filtering does not work anymore. I check the status and it is running (in the gui). Squid proxy is still working fine because i can see logs of sites visited under web proxy report. Other services running in this is the captive portal and traffic shaper.

now i tried to install beta4 built Aug 16 to following basic procedure in installing and configuring squid and squidguard and lightsquid alone. status of these services are running but web filtering is not working at all not just like before that i was able to use it for even 2 days.

    thanks

these are some of the logs im just following in the web gui (this is from the July 31 built - i just installed different builts in two different hard drives) so i just can plug and pull-out the drives easily without messing the configurations.

  • well i am sorry to bother you. i guess my mistake though. I even tried to install 1.2.3 which at first run on the default config ACL of squidguard. and then when i try to create some custom ACLs and Destinations then that trigger the problem for squidguard not to filter anything at all. I should be very carefull on that.
I return back my hard drive with 2.0 beta4 installation and reconfigure the ALCs and Destinations and it's working fine again.

thank you very much. cheers! :)
