I have been trying out pfsense 1.2.3-RELEASE on a spare computer, and I found I cannot get the DHCP server information to be restored. When I select Restore area: DHCP Server, restoring displays the text:

XML error: no dhcpd object found!

Looking at the config.xml I can see the information listed under <dhcpd>with the proper mac addresses, IPs, and hostnames, so I'm not sure if any value has to be changed so that they can be read.</dhcpd>

When you restore a partial config, I believe it expects on the snippet of the config you want to restore - that is, make a dhcpd.xml that only contains the <dhcpd>(everything inbetween)</dhcpd> section.

That was it thank you. The Backup area was confusing me as it was always outputting ALL, then I found the bug listed and it's actually because I left Do not backup package information checked, so it has to be unchecked when backing up specific areas.
