Anyone got experience with this product?

      http://www.netgear.nl/producten/ft_pdf/gs105e.pdf
      http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122342&cm_re=VLAN--33-122-342--Product

It's supposed to be a cheap 5-port VLAN switch.

I figured it would be cheaper than buying an Intel Quad Port PCIe LAN Card.

I'm thinking of using it for Multi-WAN:

      DSL1 –-(vlan1)---
      DSL2 ---(vlan2)--- [Netgear GS105E-100NAS Switch] –- <pfsense load="" balancer="">--- <pfsense squid="" traffic="" shaper="">--- [LAN]
      DSL3 –-(vlan3)---
      E1    ---(vlan4)---

So my WAN's are VLAN interfaces that are to be Load Balanced.

This should work right? The switch is just around $80!</pfsense></pfsense>

That should work fine, though I haven't used that particular switch.

I have one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122381&cm_re=gs108t--33-122-381--Product

And it works great. It's $20 more but has 8 ports instead of 5.

Did you read the comments on the GS105e about the ping behaviour and the management interface. Either issue would be enough to cause me to look further.

yeah apparently it's got some firmware problem. I'll probably go with what jimp is using.
