Since the Sept 2nd-3rd code/boot problems, on my soekris board, full install on a hd, I am having problems with each package.  I have started out with new/fresh installs multiple times, with different iso's and then doing updates manually.
Captive portal shows it not running, but is running and working.  Shown under services status. In system logs I ger the error:
php: /status_services.php: The command '/usr/local/sbin/lighttpd -f /var/etc/lighty-CaptivePortal.conf' returned exit code '255', the output was '2010-09-06 14:49:49: (plugin.c.131) Cannot load plugin mod_accesslog more than once, please fix your config (we may not accept such configs in future releases 2010-09-06 14:49:49: (network.c.364) can't bind to port: 8000 Address already in use'
I am freshly configuring this on a brand new install with nothing else loaded.

OpenVPN shows not running under services menu, but is running, and I can connect to it.  Errors when starting from services menu:

NUT has been added to the packages that work, yet since the problem date, I can't get the package to run.  I had it running great before, but I can't run the command outlines in the pfsense docs site, nor can I get it to give me anything other than an error of:
Sep 6 14:21:32 php: nut: Starting service
Sep 6 14:21:32 php: nut: Service failed to start: check configuration
      Sep 6 14:21:40 kernel: ugen0.2: <american power="" conversion="">at usbus0 (disconnected)
      Sep 6 14:21:49 check_reload_status: syncing firewall
      Sep 6 14:22:12 kernel: ugen0.2: <american power="" conversion="">at usbus0
Sep 6 14:22:30 php: nut: Starting service
Sep 6 14:22:30 php: nut: Service failed to start: check configuration
It had run fine since the last configuration before the 2nd-3rd problems. The backup unit showed up, showed the load, and worked great. Nothing on my configuration is different from prior to that date.</american></american>

I know there was a redmine log put in about the openVPN issue, yet the issue still remains, along with the problem with captive portal still showing stopped. I am also having problems with other packages, but this forum is about 2.0.

The service status has been fixed, but the first snapshot with the fix is still building.

            Both openVPN and Captive portal?

              Yes, the issue was related.

If you edit/save the nut settings, does it still give an error?

Or did that problem also clear up on a new snapshot?

I updated my home router yesterday evening and the OpenVPN status is good now.

It seems that nut stopped working since the September snapshots for both 32/64 bit. August it seemed to have worked fine at least in 32 bit.

I get the same error: ERROR:      NUT is enabled, however the service is not running!
My current build is: 2.0-BETA4  (amd64)
built on Thu Sep 9 04:14:56 UTC 2010
                                                    FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE

And there are no other errors in the system log at all?

I'm not sure if that is related to the snapshots or the nut package. I made some changes to the nut package a couple weeks ago but it had been working when I left it.

The NUT I have is working now, but I did have a lot of errors on/around the 6th.  Prior to the bad snapshots floating around, it had worked great.  As of this morning [2.0-BETA4  (i386) built on Thu Sep 9 08:11:09 EDT 2010], everything is working for me.  Still having problems with HAVP, but that's a separate issue.

Jimp, i am sorry, but on a fresh install, it does the error again and doesn't like the new install.  Even though the configuration is the same it still errors out with the config is incorrect.
