      hi there,
I just upgraded my pfsense to the latest snapshot of version 2.0 beta-4. Everything work well except captive portal. I found whatever I configured, all client neednt to auth. And I got this error in head of some page:
Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to unix:///var/run/check_reload_status:-1 (Connection refused) in /etc/inc/util.inc on line 143

Could you tell me how to solve this problem? thx!
BTW: It seems that this problem appeared in the snapshot of two days ago.

Check to see if check_reload_status is running.
Also check your system logs for check_reload_status string and post them here.

Same problem here. I'm using 2.0-BETA4  (i386) built on Fri Sep 17 14:32:23 EDT 2010.

Not sure if it helps, but I saw the following errors in the system logs:

php: : The command 'sysctl net.inet.ip.fw.dyn_max=10000' returned exit code '1', the output was 'sysctl: unknown oid 'net.inet.ip.fw.dyn_max''
php: : The command '/sbin/kldload dummynet' returned exit code '1', the output was 'kldload: can't load dummynet: No such file or directory'

This problem make all user can access internet without any auth.
Is there any way to solve this problem? thx

There are a bunch of modules missing from the builds still, it's being worked on now. That's what is breaking CP/dummynet/etc.

I solved this problem via copying these kernel modules from a earlier build.
                        thx

I am having the above problem with the latest snapshot as of posting (22:05 BST 10-10-10)

Am I correct to assume this is because the modules are still being worked on? If so, would you be so kind as to post the missing modules? Ideally, also where I can get them from and where I need to copy them to…but I understand you might not want to spoon feed too much!

Modules should have been working again a day or two after that post. As of Friday or so I wasn't aware of any issues with CP on 2.0.

Ok thanks. I guess I'll start another thread as it must be something else…probably some config I've overlooked :)
