      Good day,

I've setup a PPTP VPN to connect from an iPhone.

If I use Safari and type in the IP address of a LAN server it shows the page; if I write the FDQN or server name it can not be resolved.

I've double checked the DNS and WIN servers in PPTP and all looks OK (to me)

      Any clues?

Are you sure the DNS settings are getting properly passed to the client?

Have you also checked your IPsec firewall rules to make sure that you are passing all protocols and not just TCP?

Tried running tcpdump from the console to see if the DNS traffic is coming across the PPTP link?

You mean PPTP rules? yes, it was only passing TCP, changed to any, and it works perfect!

          Thank you!
