I have a production 1.2.3 box running on a PPPoE connection, I loaded 2.0 on a separate server to test it out. I have entered the PPPoE settings from my ISP into the 2.0 just like they are set in the 1.2.3 install but I can't get the PPPoE connection to come up. When I hit the connect button under Status-Interfaces nothing happens. Any ideas where I can start looking next to try to figure this out?
Also, when doing the testing with the 2.0 box, the WAN port of the 1.2.3 box is unplugged from the network

What do you mean by "nothing": there is no traffic out the ppp link? you don't see a report that the ppp link is up? something else?

What did you expect to happen?

From the web GUI, Status -> System Logs, click on the System and PPP tabs would be a good start.

If that doesn't provide any clues you could do a packet capture on the ppp interface. (Diagnostics -> Packet Capture).

do you have a service name configured? If not try going into ppp configuration page and checking configure a null service name flag.
