Firewall time logs about an hour ahead from the system time?
Have you found the time machine?  :D
I've noticed that after 2.0-BETA4 (i386) built on Sat Oct 9 09:31:31 EDT 2010  snapshot update.

Double check your time zone setting, make sure you are on a geographically named zone, not a GMT+/- zone, and reboot after changing or resetting the time zone.

Do I have to do anything else like copy the timezone file to the localtime folder, as below?

No, it should be fine, though as I said if the time zone was changed, a reboot is required or some things (like logs) will retain the old time zone.

A DST switch is usually fine, since that's designated inside of the time zone data file, but if the time zone data file itself changes, a process normally only consults that when started. Not a big deal for things like lighttpd, but the kernel won't read the new file until after a reboot.

I'd wait for a maintenance window, reboot the router, and then check the times when it boots back up.

Ok, jimp. I will update pfsense today then we will see.
Note that I didn't change the time zone, just the NTP time server setting a few days ago.

No changes in time zone or NTP time server setting.
