    Can pfsense 2 install on Virtualbox without access to REAL NIC?

      Hi all,

      I've downloaded and installed the pfsense 2.0 beta on Virtualbox. After the installation and configuration, I still can't access pfsense box from the host.

      As I reset the Interface configuration, I saw the message that it said it require a "REAL" NIC. So can actually the pfsense 2.0 can install on a Virtualbox ?

        i use virtualbox too (windows version) , i think you must have a real nic . :)

          As I'm not sure that I understand your setup correctly, I can describe how I use virtualbox.

          ISP –- Ubuntu desktop --- pfSense virtualbox ---- Ubuntu desktop virtualbox

          pfSense virtualbox
          1 nic setup with nat
          1 nic setup with the internal name intnet

          Ubuntu desktop virtualbox
          1 nic setup with the internal name intnet
