Is it possible to use pfSense 2.0-BETA with another machine running 1.2.3 as failover?

We currently have 2 machines running pfSense 1.2.3, but would like to try upgrading to 2.0
Is an 1.2.3 install able to take over a 2.0-BETA one, or is it incompatible?

If you do not run pfsync it should be able to.
Otherwise pfsync is not compatible between the 2.
