Not sure if this is the place to ask this questions but here goes:

Is it possible to give each user of the captive portal a monthly datacap ie. After using a specified amount of data, the user can no longer use the internet (that is until the monthly renewal date)? I unfortunately live in a country where there are data caps and I need to restrict how much bandwidth each person uses :-(

With radius accounting it should be possible.

Can I install FreeRadius on the pfSense box and if so, is there a howto link for doing so?

Ok so I've worked out that I can install the FreeRadius package. I'm just having problems configuring it… when I try to use it with the captive portal, I get "No valid Radius Response received". I can't seem to find a walk through anywhere.

One last thought.. do I need to add a rule to firewall to allow the captive portal to access it? If so, which IP is the Radius and captive portal applications seen as running from?
