Hi - Ive got a setup that look a bit like this

Off the switch I have a number of machines some set up with 192.168.53.1 as the router
and some with 192.168.53.254 as the router

Anything that sits off the switch works ok and can communicate with either .1 or .254 machines

the problem is when say I want to access a machine with 192.168.53.1 from the netgear vpn 192.168.54.0
I can ping these machines from 192.168.54.0 but say afp or database traffic will not go across the vpn - network
anything with the 192.168.254 router works ok -anything with the  192.168.1 will not

what do I need to get things bridging so that 192.168.54.0 can access a machine with 192.168.53.1 configured as the router?

      Thanks
      Steve

You'll need to 'learn' the 192.168.53.1 pfsense box that it needs to use the 192.168.53.254 box as a gateway to reach 192.168.54.0.
I think a static route will do the trick.
