      Hey, I'm new to pfSense and have some questions.

      I have two public ip addresses, and i want to create 3 local networks.

      public IP 1 –-----+----- Web Server, FTP, etc

      public IP 2 ------+----- Local LAN 1
                              +------Local LAN 2

      I'm trying to use one box for everything, so i'm running ESXi which seems to run great with pfSense.
      My physical machine has 4 NICs.
      But i'm having problems getting this set up.
      I was originally trying v1.2.3, and now i'm checking out v2.

      Can anyone ofter some suggestions on where to get started?
      Thanks.

        I got my problem resolved.

        I couldn't understand why when i used the original setup wizard, the primary WAN and LAN were able to route traffic through each other.

        Turns out, those rules are hidden by default.

        If you go to Firewall - NAT - Outbound
        and select Manual rule generation, all of these rules become visible.

        Also, one must define valid traffic rules under Firewall - Rules.

        And setting up a Virtual IP of type "alias" resolved my need for the second external ip address.
