I have multiple names entries for a single IP in the DNS Forwarder.  When doing a lookup based on IP it always returns the first name alphabetically listed for that IP.  I don't want that.

Is there a CNAME sort of concept in the DNS server on pfSense?

The DNS-Forwarder is not a full blown DNS-Server but rather a DNS-Cache and thus doesn't have that many features. I'm not sure if the functionality that you are asking for can be integrated.
